2003 Shot Show Award Winning Booth

In less than a month, and with minimal budget, Emerson put together a 12 x 24 booth at the 2003 Shot Show (the world’s largest outdoor, fishing, hunting, hiking and law enforcement show). He arranged to have the replica Liberty Bell for attendees to ring, and the family of WW I hero Sergeant Alvin York onsite for photo opportunities with attendees. The film "Sergeant York" (with Gary Cooper) played continuously for attendees in one section of the booth as well.

Through special arrangements with the Providence Foundation, Emerson acquired the 250th Anniversary Liberty Bell for use in the Shot Show. Attendees lined up to ring the bell, cast in the same foundry to the same specs as the original. The sound carried from one end of the mile-long show to the other.

The booth was a tremendous draw, and won the top award for the Most Patriotic Booth (in a mile-long show of million-dollar patriotic booths!) resulting in a significant amount of media coverage and new joint venture deals.

The sons of World War I Hero Sergeant York created a buzz in the mile-long show, with attendees and exhibitioners making appointments to come to the booth. Joint venture deals resulted from several top companies such as Colt and Remington, as a result of the success of the highly-successful booth... all done on a shoestring budget.

by Emerson Brantley, beat out multi-million dollar booths
at the world's largest outdoorsman show.

Even the collateral marketing materials featuring Liberty Trees and Sergeant York became collectible items for months after the show.
