Emerson first wrote the core piece, the lead-generating "special report", and tested it using direct mail and groundbreaking early online marketing (almost a year before the World Wide Web!). Brantley then developed it into the profitable Cash Flow Generator infomercial SDI used to build their customer list to over 200,000. In 2003 Russ Whitney's WIN acquired the Cash Flow Generator, using it virtually unchanged to generate 60,000 new registrants and $6.8 million in new revenue in the first five months alone and estimating a continuous 10,000 new customers a month from the Cash Flow Generator (RUSS.PK 8K SEC filing).
